RTX subsidiary Pratt & Whitney has delivered the first aircraft powered by its GTF Advantage engine to United Airlines, the company announced.

The GTF Advantage is an upgraded version of Pratt & Whitney's geared turbofan engine, which powers the Airbus A320neo family of aircraft. The variant is designed to offer improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions compared with earlier GTF engines.

United Airlines operates Airbus A320neo-family jets with Pratt & Whitney engines, and the handover marks the first time an aircraft equipped with the GTF Advantage has been delivered to the airline.
