Air Transat announced on October 29 that it will add five new non-stop routes between Canada and Europe for the summer 2027 season, expanding its transatlantic network with two destinations new to the carrier.

The five routes include Montreal-Geneva, Toronto-Birmingham, Quebec City-Lyon, Quebec City-Barcelona and Montreal-Faro. Geneva and Birmingham are new destinations for the airline, while Barcelona marks the first direct link between Quebec City and Spain.

The Montreal-based leisure carrier said the expansion adds new non-stop options from both Montreal and Quebec City, giving travellers in those markets more direct access to European cities without connecting through another airport.

Alongside the new routes, Air Transat is extending Quebec City-Puerto Plata and Montreal-Saint-Martin to year-round service.
