Austrian Airlines has sold its last three Boeing 767-300ERs to U.S. firm Cobra Aviation Services for part-out, ending the flag carrier's operation of the twinjet after 38 years.

The aircraft, registered OE-LAE, OE-LAY and OE-LAZ, will be transferred to the United States for parts recovery.

Austrian began operating the Boeing 767 in 1988. The airline is phasing out the type in favour of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with 767 flying expected to end by the end of this year.
