Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are adding new year-round, nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and two new international destinations: Osaka, Japan (KIX) and Papeete, Tahiti in French Polynesia (PPT). The combined airline will offer the only nonstop service between Seattle and both cities, with Hawaiian Airlines operating the routes on Airbus A330 aircraft.

The Seattle to Osaka route launches May 14, 2027, operating four times per week, while Seattle to Papeete begins June 11, 2027, with three weekly flights. Both routes feature widebody cabins with lie-flat business class suites and free high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi.

Osaka and Papeete become the eighth and ninth long-haul intercontinental routes in the airline's growing Seattle network, which already includes London, Tokyo, Seoul, Rome and Reykjavík, plus newly announced Athens and Paris. The expansion advances Alaska Accelerate, a plan to make Seattle a global gateway serving at least 15 long-haul intercontinental destinations by 2030.

To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering introductory round-trip Main Cabin fares from Seattle starting at $1,199 to Osaka and $999 to Papeete, on sale through Oct. 26, subject to availability and government approval.
