This site is dedicated in loving memory of my faithful, devoted and loving Shepherd, Nikki (1986(?) - July 1998), and of my terrific Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Tika (1995(?) - January 2008). And now, very sadly I must add my extra special black lab mix, Lilli, (October(?) 1996 - October 3, 2011)to this family of past loving four legged friends. You can use any video player. However, use either of the following two FREE players for best results to see video bolts in slow motion or as still frames. Better to save the video clip to your computer and then open in the player rather than open in your brower automatically.

2. Quick Time

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema has two buttons on the bottom of the player that allow you to SLOW DOWN or SPEED UP the video clip. And there is a STEP button that lets you click the button to advance one frame at a time.

Quick Time can also be used to advance or back up the clip one frame at a time using the left and right arrown keys. Most web browsers will automatically open these video clips with Quick Time.

To use the special slow motion or still frame features of Media Player Classic or Quick Time it is best to first save the video clips to your computer and then view them with Media Player Classic or Quick Time.

Special Feature - Snowstorm on Thursday, December 11, 2008
2 to 3 inches of snow in a storm is a super rare event for New Orleans. Most I have seen since I moved here in December 1968.

A number of my video clips were shown to illustrate the power of lightning on several episodes of the program called Storm Warning! on Discovery Channel that first aired from October through December 2000. They might still air reruns once in a while if you missed them.
